Hi All!!!
My wellness rating:
Physical Well Being: 7 out of 10
Spiritual Well Being: 7 out of 10
Psychological Well Being: 7 out of 10
I rated my self the same in all areas because I feel very good about my life, my physical fitness level and my psychological well being. They are all related to each other. I think if I could reach the optimal state of well being, I would have a 10 out of 10 and am not there yet.
My physical goals are to lose 5 pounds. I am not comfortable at this weight so, I am going to make an effort and combine more healthy vegetables and fruits into my diet and visualize weighing my goal weight and add 15 minutes to my work out.
My Spiritual Goal is to pray more. I believe in the power of prayer and don't pray enough.
My psychological goal is to continue to work on my reaction to thoughtless people on the roads who text and drive and who are rude. This is an ongoing goal for me.
CRIME OF THE CENTURY
I enjoyed this and really did not have a problem staying focused too much which is a nice change for me. I can definitely see how easy it would be to be hypnotized. I am very relaxed currently because I just completed the exercise! Whew!

Wow! DO you think it would be easy to be hypnotized? I think it would be very hard for me. I find that I cannot allow my mind to let go enough to be put into a trance of sorts. I think too much and all the time. It is rare that I never have a thought at all and that is including when I am trying to sleep. My thoughts have actually kept me awake at night. It sucks but I deal with it.
ReplyDeleteGreat posts! Erika - in terms of being hypnotized...have you ever driven somewhere and upon arriving you didn't remember part of the trip? Well...that was self-hypnosis!
ReplyDeleteJill -- in terms of losing weight...I am curious -- you say you want to lose 5 pounds and that you are not "comfortable at this weigh." What is it that makes you uncomfortable? What would be different when you lose this weight...and how does it all play into your overall health and wellbeing?
Looking forward to future posts!
Take Care - David
Hi Jill, I read your goals, and I am curious why you rated yourself a seven across the board. Physically 5 pounds is attainable, good luck, fruits and veges should do it, drink plenty of water too. Getting rid of unwanted pounds is smart before it creeps up. Prayer is wonderful and can be done at anytime, I give thanks and pray throughout the day, for me it keeps me grounded in his word. I agree that people today are more centered on themselves and I believe they are not even aware of their actions and how others percieve them. It is all about them. I try not to allow them to become all about me. Good luck with your goals. look forward to your future blogs. Sharon
ReplyDeleteJill, its nice to be able to honestly look at ourselves and see where we are and were we need to be. Many times this is a hard task because we know we are not where we need to be. Once we recognize this, we can put into practice the goals we need to achieve the "10". Good luck to you on your goals. I know for me, praying daily really helps me to keep a positive attitude and seems to bring life into perspective.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteGreat blog. your goals and expectations seem very easy to reach. ITs easy to set your goals small and easy to reach that way you have an actual attempt at acheiving it.
